Intel is prepping the next generation of processors to take on AMD with an architecture that seems for first the time in 5 years bring parity and competitive challenge against AMD. Sources suggest that this upcoming architecture may address some of Intel’s previous shortcomings, such as disproportionate power consumption, which has been an issue for several years now. This has been possible with the new fabrication tech based on Lion cove that brings IPC advantages along with node advantages.

Top of the line Ultra 9 285K CPU gets 24 cores: 8 P-Core and 16 E-Cores. Interestingly Hyperthreading is missing as per the current available information. This will be replacing the 14900k as the top fighter from the Intel side to take on the AMD’s Ryzen 9950x.
