Gigabyte 5000 series are facing a Meltdown of a different kind (with Pictures)

All Gigabyte 5000 series are facing a new kind of issue that was introduced by their introduction of new kind of thermal Gel that features in all of their latest 5000 series of graphics cards, apparently the new thermal gel viscosity changes during heat generated by heavy games and it is making the cards to pour out the thermal putty gel like cakes and coins from the installed graphics card, in vertical installations it is more prominent while in standard horizontal installation also the thermal gel putty is pouring out like battered cakes. Check out the issue in pictures below, while Gigabyte as ensured that it doesn’t effect the performance of cards, we have one user from Germany whose card temps were affected after the putty was dropped and he has sent the card for RMA. If your regions suddenly sees price drop of gigabyte RTX 5000 series graphics cards, now you know the reason.

Einfach schade. Meine 5070 Ti Aorus Master hatte das nach einem Monat im vertikalen Einbau, da kam einiges einfach raus und ein VRM war gar nicht mehr gekühlt. Ist nun auf dem weg zu gigabyte. Ich hoffe auf Rückerstattung denn Gigabyte will und werde ich so nicht mehr vertrauen, sehr schade!

What a shame. My Aorus Master 5070 Ti had issues after only a month of vertical installation, with some parts coming loose and one VRM no longer being cooled. It’s now on its way back to Gigabyte. I hope for a refund as I will not trust Gigabyte after this experience – very disappointing!
