It is official guys we are getting a 4GB VRAM graphics card in 2026, it will struggle in AAA gaming but could run the esports and older games comfortably. AMD has begun shipping its RDNA 4 architecture graphics cards to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and board partners. This shipment includes two versions of the Radeon RX 9050: a 4 GB and a 8 GB variant.
Technical Specifications
Both cards use the same internal RDNA 4 core architecture, should be supporting FSR that could make worth it for gamers.
The primary difference between the two models is the memory configuration:
- Radeon RX 9050 (4 GB): Uses a 64-bit bus with GDDR6 memory, resulting in a bandwidth of 144 GB/s. Will have total 16 Compute units and 2.6 GHz boost clock speed
- Radeon RX 9050 (8 GB): Uses a 128-bit bus with GDDR6 memory, providing 288 GB/s of bandwidth. Will have total 28 compute units and 2.6 GHz boost clock speed
Partner Hardware and Power Requirements
ASRock is the first launch partner for these cards. They have just revealed the Radeon RX 9050 Challenger 4 GB alongside the 8 GB version.
The Challenger 4 GB model uses a standard chassis size of 249 x 132 x 41 mm. Despite the lower specifications, ASRock recommends a 450 W power supply and requires a single 8-pin PCIe power connector for both models. Target Audience: The 4 GB variant appears to be designed for OEMs rather than gamers. This allows manufacturers to include a dedicated GPU in budget PCs at a lower cost, even if the memory capacity is low for modern gaming demands.
Radeon RX 9050 Price 2026
While official pricing is not yet confirmed, estimates suggest the 4 GB model may retail near $199 and the 8 GB model near $220.
